Well, I didn't quite make it to the school today but I managed to organize my computer files. I ran across my fix it strategies posters. A fellow teacher asked me about them so I thought I'd post them. I like to use them at the guided reading table with beanie babies for each strategy.
I can't believe I have been blog stalking all night. There are soooo many great teacher blogs. I just can't st0p. I think I have a case of acquired ADHD. Anywho, I'm going to school in the morning to get started on my room...hopefully. The first line of business is the all-important theme. I think I'm going with a Second Grade Savannah Safari theme. I want to keep the color scheme simple so I'll stay with blue and green.

Yipee! Summer is officially here. I've been so busy cleaning, posting grades, preparing for awards ceremonies, surviving field day, updating student records and moving classrooms (AGAIN!) I am just now recovering. Since I'm changing grade levels I also had a garage sale this past weekend and unfortunately that was only the tip of the iceberg. I'll be working on letting go of STUFF all summer. Anyway, I'm going to start all my summer training next week. I so excited to start a new chapter of my teaching in a new grade level not to mention that this is the first time that I won't have to give a state test. I look forward to being able to TEACH :)
